Artist Info: Dr. Ana Guigui has a long-standing career as an interdisciplinary, professional artist, including Broadway national tours and Off-Broadway credits as a performer, a world-touring keyboardist and vocalist for Christopher Cross and various other Grammy award-winning artists, including Ben Folds, Andrew Gold, AMERICA, Stephen Bishop, Deborah Gibson, Juan Gabriel, to name a few. Video singing performances and professional acting credits in film, television, and theater can be viewed on her website. Academic accomplishments include a DMA in Opera/Vocal Arts from USC’s Thornton School of Music in Los Angeles, an M.A. in Vocal Arts from Claremont Graduate University, and an MFA degree in Creative Writing from Lesley University with a focus on television, screenwriting, and playwriting. Ana’s professional performance work has deeply informed her teaching and directing abilities. As an ongoing Professor of Voice at the Berklee College of Music in Boston since 2014, and the Longy School of Music of BARD College since 2019, Dr. Guigui teaches voice lessons in various styles/genres and languages, acting classes, directs musical theater productions, one-person shows, and student recitals and concerts (both live and live streaming).

Artist Info: Roella Oloro is a British-born composer and multi-instrumentalist of Nigerian and Jamaican descent. One of her first pieces for big band, “Cruisin’” (written at age 18) was played at the Royal Albert Hall in 2016. Her composition for Symphonic Wind Orchestra “La Voyage de la Riviere;” premiered at the Berklee Performance Center in December 2022. In Summer 2018, she was offered a full scholarship to study at Berklee College of Music. Roella Oloro has had exceptional professors such as Terri Lyne-Carrington, Joanne Brackeen, Tia Fuller, Esperanza Spalding, Patrice Rushen, Wayne Shorter, Melissa Aldana, Helen Sung, Camille Thurman, Rafael Zaldivar and many others. During the pandemic, she was a BBC Young Musician 2020 Semi-finalist and a Jazz South UK grant recipient. She recently won the ISJAC (International Society of Jazz Arrangers and Composers) prize for Emerging Black Composers. In November 2022, she booked and completed a London Mini-tour with her piano trio from Berklee that coincided with the London Jazz Festival. In 2023 Roella performed at Capitol Turnaround in Washington DC at the SHEROCKS 2023 showcase. With her trio that recorded and toured her first EP “Sentient Sounds,” she traveled to Milan, Italy to do a mini-tour with her all-black female group the “Diasporan Queens".
